Lona Lyons Strode

Lona Lyons Strode, age 39, of Salt Lake City, passed away May 30, 2022.
    She was born October 6, 1982, in Roosevelt, to Rick Lyons & Darla Miles Lyons.  She grew up in the Altamont area through Jr. High and later graduated from AVEC in Vernal, Utah.  She married Sean Gene Strode on May 17, 2002, and they later divorced.  
    Lona loved to draw and paint, and was a collector of sorts, including old bottles, old jewelry, and old rocks.  She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, playing video games, and loved her favorite cat, Zelda.
    Our Lona is loved and will be missed by many.  May the wings of Heaven give her comfort and peace.
    Lona is survived by her four beautiful children, Trenton Sean Strode, Jorielle Lona Strode, both of Texas; Sylus Rick Smith, Vernal; Sydelle Darla Ayala, Bluebell; sister, Lacie Lyons Hislop; father, Rick Lyons; mother, Darla Harris; grandfather, Ron Miles; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd & Eleanor Lyons; Carolyn Miles; and an uncle, Daryl Miles.  
    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary.  There will be viewings on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and from 10-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Mortuary.
    Burial will be in the Bluebell Cemetery.
