Leslie Rae Wissiup

Leslie Rae Wissiup, age 54, of Vernal, passed away February 15, 2025, at her home from liver failure.

 She was born March 18, 1970, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Raymond Wissiup and Madeline Bernice Williams. She was life-long companions with Tammy Sims.

 Leslie had worked as the manager of the Ute Plaza Grocery Store and drove truck for the Ute Tribe Water Hauling department. She very fond of making bird houses and doing other crafts. She liked to fish, take boat rides and go to the mountains. She loved her family and spending time with them was her greatest joy.

 Leslie is survived by her companion, Tammy, of Vernal; her father, Raymond Wissiup, Randlett; siblings, April Cesspooch ( Michael Moss), Ft. Duchesne; Raylene (Justin) Dodge, Randlett; Cynellea Wissiup, ; Raymond Wissiup, Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

 She was preceded in death by her mother, Madeline; siblings, Roderick Nephi, Carolee Redfoot, Ivan Nephi; Stacey Nephi, Ivan James Nephi, Pollyana Parks, and Bettina Wissiup.

 Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Duchesne Community Building. There will be a wake at the community building after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

 Burial will be in the Randlett Cemetery.
