Leoatah Kurip

    Leoatah Ivelda Kurip, age 42, of Whiterocks, passed away on March 10, 2017 at her home.
    Leoatah was born July 12, 1974 in Roosevelt to Stewart Farley Mart and Ileen LuAnn Kurip.  
    Leoatah had a special soft spot for children, she helped raise her nieces and nephews, Tommy Mart, Bryant Navanick and Darrien Mart.  She worked for the Ute Tribe Daycare and delighted in spending time with the children.  She enjoyed watching movies, eating, traveling to concerts, and most of all spending time with her family.  
    She is survived by her mother Ileen Standing Rock, siblings, LuElla         , Sonya Standing Rock, Gideon (Esther) Standing Rock, Kenneth, Jr.(Samantha) Standing Rock,, Jamie (Jose) Standing Rock, Saunders Standing Rock, Travis Mart, Deatha Mart, Dawn Coffee, special grandson, Caleb Mart, uncles and aunts, Roger Kurip, Kathleen Rasaphonh, Alta & Elliot Mart, nieces and nephews, Kenneth “Tommy” Mart, Bryant Ronald Navanick, Jonathan Standing Rock, Celino Standing Rock, Kayden Bear, Aubree Standing Rock, Deion Standing Rock, Bridger Leavitt, and numerous other relatives.  
    She is preceded in death by her father, Stewart Mart, grandparents, Roger & Lucille Kurip, Barbara & Felix Mart, siblings, Delwyn Mart, Cody Mart, Bucky Mart, uncle, Aaron Kurip, niece, Nicolette Mart, cousins, Leavis Mart, Shaun Rasaphonh, and Nikki Kurip.
    Graveside services held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the John Harmes Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday afternoon and Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:30 at the Hullinger Mortuary.
