Lee Randall Hancock, age 46, of Vernal, returned to his heavenly home on December 1, 2024, greeted by his grandparents on both sides.

He was born November 9, 1978, in Evanston, Wyoming, the third child of Randall Glade and Sherry Schouten Hancock.

While growing up in Evanston, Lee loved the outdoors; camping, hunting, fishing, golfing, baseball, basketball, motorcycling, building forts, the annual family reunions at Flaming Gorge, and spending time with cousins.

He excelled in his academic studies as a straight-A student and was continually on the Honor Roll. He had a gift with writing and enjoyed wood-working and building things. He was a 1997 Evanston High School graduate, earning the “Presidential Educational Outstanding Academic Award” and a scholarship to Utah State University. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1997-1999 in the Argentina Resistencia Mission. Upon his return, he attended Utah State University. He worked hard on his degree, worked various jobs, built a house, sold it, and started his own business, Cache Valley Central Vacuums.

He married Charlene René Fellman on September 11, 2003, and they later divorced. They were blessed with three wonderful children.

Lee enjoyed many amazing friends throughout his life and was the kind of guy who would “give you the shirt off his back.”

He earned his Eagle Scout Award in March of 1995.

Lee was a determined, hardworking, goal oriented individual. He was also a big tease and loved to have fun. His nieces and nephews will always remember his “Smoochy Smoochies!”

Lee is survived by his children, Megan, Hayden, & Adrian John “AJ” Hancock, all of Delta Junction, Alaska; parents, Randall & Sherry Hancock, Evanston, Wyoming; siblings, Mat (Holly) Hancock, Stephanie (Ethan) Smith, Calli (Bradley) Bishop, Wade Hancock, Kyle (Ashley) Hancock; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, DeVere & Betty Hancock, and Sherrill & Carol Schouten.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Roosevelt West Stake Center (150 Skyline Drive). There will be a viewing at the church that morning from 11:30 am - 12:45 p.m.

Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
