Laverne Johnson Slaugh, age 86, of Roosevelt, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on January 26, 2025 in Sandy Utah as she rehabilitated from a recent illness.
She was born to Charles and Irene Bleak on June 28, 1938 in Fort Thomas, AZ. She had survived her brothers, Arthur, Floyd and Jimmy, and her sister Joann. She spent much of her childhood in Blanding Utah, graduating from San Juan High in 1956.
She spent her life tirelessly caring for those around her and was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she donated her time and talents throughout her days.
She married Glen L Nazer with whom she had her four children. She is survived by three; Abbi Brown (Troy Brown), Jeff Nazer, and Ryan Nazer, but lost her eldest son Nate Nazer in a tragic accident in 2017. She later married Glenn B Johnson in 2001, and was married for 16 years until his passing in 2017. She married Ralph Slaugh January 27, 2019 and shared six loving years with in a wonderful companionship.
She was survived by husband Ralph, 11 grandchildren; Jaime Johnson, Bryan Poindexter, Adrienne Nelson, Sean Nazer, David Nazer, Scott Nazer, Andrea Tapia, Rebecca Tolman, Mitchell Nazer, Megan Bagley, and Katie Nazer: and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt East Stake Center. Viewings will be held at the church on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.
Burial will be Roosevelt Memorial Park.
