Larry Richardson

December 13, 1945 — October 17, 2024

Duchesne

The funeral will be live-streamed here.

Larry Ray Richardson Sr., age 78, of Duchesne, UT, passed away at his home on October 17, 2024 with his wife by his side.
Larry was born on December 13, 1945 in Evanston, WY to Earnest Monroe and Vernie Augusta Davidson Richardson. He was the 10th out of 12 children.
Larry married the love of his life Debbie Gines on March 19, 1977 in Elko, NV. In their 47 years of marriage, they had 5 children, 1 son and 4 daughters.
Larry was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping, hotdog roasts, breaking snow drifts, riding 4-wheelers, mainly anything outdoors and in the mountains. He also enjoyed taking care of his lawn and flower garden, especially his roses. Everyone was always complementing him on them. His outdoor adventures always included his family. From his younger years running around and causing chaos with his brothers, to passing on his love of the outdoors to his children and grandchildren.
Another passion Larry had was his trucks, he always had to have a set of cab lights, a CB, "sparkly" CB antennas wrapped in space tape, and a Goddess to light the way. Larry had a wicked sense of humor and he loved to tease everybody, no-one was safe. Up to the day he passed Larry was giving his nephews, daughters and wife a rough time, all the while with a huge smile on his face and full of laughter.
If there is one thing nobody can deny, is Larry loved his family. He loved Debbie more than anything and he was always devoted to her happiness. He was the best Dad, that anyone could ask for, he loved his children with all his heart. He could be stern, when needed. Larry turned into a big Teddy Bear when he became a Grandpa. His grandkids were his greatest joy. He loved to spoil them and believe they could do no wrong and were always right in his eyes. Even if it meant making a hole in the wall to retrieve a toy. He would always light up with pride when they were around. He loved to teach them about the outdoors, shooting and fishing, even buying them their first fishing poles.
Larry is survived by his wife, Debbie Richardson, Duchesne; son, Larry Ray (Krystal)  Richardson Jr., Richmond, UT; daughters, Christina Louise Richardson,  Summer Rae (Andrew) Privett, all of Duchesne; Desert Rae  (Brad) Lawrence, Las Vegas, NV; Allana Joan Richardson, Duchesne. His grandchildren, Kloee DeAnn and Jemma Rae Lawrence, Las Vegas; Domenik Russell and Dealin Rae Privett, Duchesne; bonus grandchildren, Austin Green, Alyssa Moates and Kolton Dworshak, Richmond, UT. Siblings, Ron (Stephanie) Richardson, Border, TX; Marge (Late Terry) Horrocks,  Lyman, WY; and Lousie (Late Elwood) Driskell, DeWitt, MO. Sisters-in-law, Mary Richardson, Duchesne; Rose Richardson, Del Norte, CO; brother-in-law, Don Johnson, Heber City, UT.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Donald, Gene, Kenneth “Purd” Junior “Ernie”, Leroy, Mary, Leora, and Betty. His nieces, Tammy Richardson and Angela Richardson-Johnson and numerous nephews and brothers-in-law.
