Lareta Fay Mayhew Brady, age 84, of Duchesne, passed away November 5, 2017, at her home.
She was born August 12, 1933, in Utahn, to Burdett and Susan Elva Moulton Mayhew. She married Leo Lloyd Brady on June 27, 1951, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Lareta was a wonderful homemaker – her family was her life and they kept her on the run! She enjoyed music, cooking, and attending community events like the fair and pageants. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings.
Lareta is survived by her eight children, Randy M. (Lou Ann) Brady, Cary, N.C.; Annette (Joseph D.) Jensen, Perrysburg, OH; Lorell Leo (Lonetta) Brady, Cove, UT; Darren (Melody) Brady, Duchesne, UT; Laconna (Lamar) Davis, Vernal, UT; Sonya Tegge, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; DeLoy (Heidi) Brady, Duchesne, UT; and Karletta (Jeff) Johnson, Denver, CO; 42 grandchildren, and 50 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leo; a granddaughter, Shayna Brady, great-grandsons, Kixton and Kashton Brady; sister, Althora Fairbanks; brother, Burthel Burdett Mayhew, and son-in-law, Charles Tegge.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Duchesne LDS Stake Center. There will be a viewing at the church on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Friday.
Burial will be in the Utahn Cemetery.
