LaDonna Martinez

    LaDonna Hendricks Martinez, age 60, of Roosevelt, passed away August 21, 2017, at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield.
    LaDonna was born December 15, 1956 in Vernal to Floyd and Helen Hendricks.        LaDonna worked at the Bottle Hollow Resort as a hostess, as a bar tender at the Driftwood Lounge, and as a cashier at the Ute Petroleum.  She was a major collector of movies and books, and enjoyed reading, fishing, taking rides to the mountains, telling jokes, and laughing.  She liked to travel to new places, meet new people, and had a good sense of humor.  She was very kind and loving, didn’t talk badly about anyone, and had a very big heart.  She was a dedicated mother and grandmother.   
    LaDonna is survived by her companion, Wade Santio; children, Diane Martinez Omak, WA; Alice Martinez, Roosevelt; step-children, Camie Santio, Sadie Santio, Terrie Martinez, all of Roosevelt; Garrett Martinez, Ft. Duchesne; 23 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Floyd Hendricks, Randlett; Tim Hendricks, Randlett, and Johnnie Lyn Rhoades, ID.
    She was preceded in death by her sons, Ouray McCook, III; Aaron McCook, their father, Ouray McCook, Jr.; her husband, Rick Martinez; her parents, step-grandchildren, Rainey & Sukakee Martinez Manyhides; a sister, Brenda Valentine; an uncle, Richard Murray; and a nephew, Tyson Carr.  
    Funeral services held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary.  Cremation will follow services.
