Kimberly Renee Hyde, age 60, of Roosevelt, was taken from this life on October 8, 2024.
She was born January 14, 1964, in Whittier, California, to Lee Royal and Donna Ruth Mezenen. She married Michael Allan Hyde, the Love of her life, on October 6, 2006, in Roosevelt. They were sealed in the Vernal Utah Temple on October 27, 2007. They were so happy to have found each other after difficult previous marriages.
Kim graduated from Duchesne High School and then at the age of 41 years old, she started attending college. She graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s in social work, and was awarded the Outstanding Student Award for that year. After graduation, she worked as a social worker at the Division of Child and Family Services, The Uintah Basin Senior Villa, and Rocky Mountain Hospice.
Kim was a good cook, having spent many years prior to college as a “lunch lady” at East Elementary. She liked to bake and share her goodies. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving others, mostly in the Primary and Young Women’s programs, and as a service missionary doing indexing for Family Search.
Other than Mike, she loved her grandchildren more than anyone in the world! She was so very loved by her family & community and will be deeply missed.
Kim is survived by her husband, Mike, of Roosevelt; children, Kody (Jessica) Boren, Montwell; Kolt (Stephanie) Boren, Roosevelt; Mike’s children, Elizabeth (Sam) Powell, Trent (Karen) Hyde, Garrett Hyde, Emily Hyde; grandchildren, Korver & Gracie Boren, Makayla & Rendan Richman, Henry Powell, Skyler Jeffs; a brother, Douglas Mezenen; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Launa Boren; a brother, Michael Mezenen; and her parents.
