Kerry Llewellyn Bird, age 66, of Bluebell, passed away December 28, 2017 peacefully in his sleep at home after battling cancer.  He was surrounded by his loving children.
Kerry was born October 19, 1951 in Roosevelt, to Leona Bird.  He was the oldest of 7 children.  He married Mary Szymanski on October 13, 1977, and they were sealed in the Vernal LDS Temple on October 13, 2001.  She died from an auto accident on February 24, 2003.  He married Debra Lynne Svedin on February 14, 2004.  She died on October 25, 2012.  
Dad graduated from Altamont High School in 1969, then served in the US Army during the war in Vietnam.  He served in the infantry division, where he received commendations for meritorious service and an air medal. 
Dad was a simple man who enjoyed many small simple pleasures.  He was a gentle, quiet man with a great sense of humor.  He loved animals, hunting, fishing, farming, and enjoyed passing on these loves to his family. 
Dad was a jack-of-all-trades and was good at many things.  He worked as an equipment operator, roughneck, ranch hand, and school bus driver in various different capacities.   
He is survived by his children, Terry Bird, Bluebell; Trinity (Vanessa) Bird, Hutto, TX; Tiffany (Brandon) Peck, Bluebell; Isaac Bird, Vernal; Alicia (Morant) Harrison, Bluebell; also stepchildren, Josh (Stefanie) Patterson, Cottonwood Heights; Alisha Mae Patterson, Australia; 11 grandchildren, 4 sisters, 1 brother, many nieces and nephews, and his loving companion dog, Angel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Bird Burson, brother Mark Burson, wives Mary S. Bird, and Debra Bird. 
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 5, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Altamont LDS Stake Center where a viewing will be held on Thursday from 6-8 pm and on Friday from 10-10:45 am. 
Burial will be in the Bluebell Cemetery with military honors presented by the American Legion, the Patriot Guard Riders, and the Army Honor Guard
