Kayleena Cornpeach

    Kayleena Lyndell Cornpeach, age 41, of Whiterocks, passed away December 21, 2023, at her home from complications of several illnesses.
    She was born April 19, 1982, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Alberta June Cornpeach and Eric LaRose.  
    Kayleena was very outgoing, had a great sense of humor, and loved to joke around.  She was also feisty and very straightforward – she always told it like it was.  She was a good mom who was a very good cook and baker.  She had a talent for drawing, beading, plastic canvas, and other crafts.  She enjoyed camping, hunting, being outdoors, and going to the city.  She loved her family and spending time with them – especially during the Sundance, Bear Dance, and Pow Wow – was her favorite thing along with visiting with her grandmother, Ina Jane Nephi.  She had two very special cousins, Sam and Anna Bush.
    Kayleena is survived by her children, Rosalia “Ava” Cornpeach; Sonceray Flora Cornpeach, Aivaaq Bronco Cornpeach, all of Whiterocks; grandmother, Ina Jane Nephi; uncles, Alex (Tahnee) Cornpeach, Richard Cornpeach, Billy Cuch; aunts, Roseann (Jubal) Myore, Joline (Richard) Poowegup, Bettina Redfoot, Charlyn Cuch, Dellanna Redfoot, Marion Serawop, Gwen Cuch, SueAnne Cotonuts, cousins/sisters/brothers: Arden (Melanie) Cornpeach, Jason Cornpeach, Alexia Cornpeach, Trista Cornpeach, Tony Cornpeach, Rosebud Cornpeach, Natasha Cornpeach, Carlo Poowegup, Gracey Cornpeach, Deeatha Mart, Nathaniel Cornpeach, Seymone Gonzales, Naomi Navanick, Lisa Blackhorse, Estelle John, Anne Cuch, Honch Cuch, Paul Cornpeach.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Thompson; grandparents, parents; aunts & uncles, Anna Cornpeach, Myleen Cornpeach, Julieann Cornpeach, Johanna Cuch, Jonathan Cuch, Frankie Cornpeach, Daniel Cornpeach., and Sam Cuch. 
    Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Whiterocks Community Building.  There will be a wake on Tuesday, after 4:00 p.m., at the community building.
    Burial will be at the Waterfall Cemetery in Whiterocks.
