Katherine Eggers, age 67, of Duchesne, passed away January 22, 2016, at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City.
She was born April 11, 1948, in Salt Lake City, to Warner Tobler and Marian Edel Linde Riegler. She married Maynard H. "Jim" Eggers in Platteville, WI. He died March 14, 1990.
Katherine was a good person with a kind and sweet heart. She enjoyed doing crafts, being in the outdoors, fishing, shopping, and traveling. She loved doing anything with the grandchildren, like watching "Spongebob Squarepants", bowling on the Wii, playing "Go Fish" and "Bingo", and teaching them how to scrapbook and cook.
She was a member of the LDS Church and met many close friends at the Uintah Basin Sr. Villa over the last three years.
Katherine is survived by her twin daughters, Sharon Eggers (Jose Cantarero); Sheryl Eggers (Jesus "Ivan" Zapata); 8 grandchildren, a sister Carol Herrera; step-children, Vic (Sandra) Eggers; Pam (Eric) Ellison, Debbie (Jimmy) Dutton, Gary (Joyce) Eggers, Angie Eggers; and special friends, Karen & Lyle Peck; and Patricia & Craig Messner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, step-son, Mike Eggers; nephew, Gordon Peterson; and friends, Wayne Alred, Garn & Max Robinson, and Maria Sara Ventura.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Duchesne LDS Stake Center. There will be a viewing on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and from 10-10:45 a.m. Friday at the church.
Burial will be in the Duchesne City Cemetery.
