Justin Cal Lawson, age 31, of Roy, passed away July 23, 2016, at his home.
He was born the 24th day of October 1984 to loving parents Ed Lawson Jr and Cynthia LaDawn Gardner-Lawson in Roosevelt, Utah.
Justin was a fun, smiley, happy, little boy, and was the light of his parents eye from the second he came into this world. From the moment his feet hit the ground at 18 months, he never stopped. He was very protective of his kid brother, Matthew, and although they didn't always see eye to eye, if either one of them were in trouble or danger they would close rank and fiercely defend each other. All through his young life, he was his daddy's little buckaroo, whether it be hunting, fishing, or just riding around looking at everything and anything. That same spirit carried on into his adult life. At the age of seventeen, after a lot of hard work and determination, he obtained his CDL and went to work on free days and weekends for his parents trucking company, where he continued his career for the duration of his life. Justin had a gentle spirit and at the same time was the most outgoing person. His smile would light up a room the moment he walked in. He emulated his grandpa, Cal, and his father, Ed, in every way from the wrangler jeans and cowboy hats, to his boots and buckles. Justin had three great passions in his life: the outdoors, his dogs and his horses.
Justin is survived by his daughter, Cheyenne Lawson; father, Ed Lawson Jr. and step-mother, Jennifer Marie Sharp, brothers, Matthew Roy Lawson of Roosevelt, and AJ Sharp of Roy; sisters, Alexis Ann Brown of Roy; Carly (Michael) Truman-Shaw of Vernal; grandmother, Janice "Jan" Gardner of Green River, WY; aunts, Colleen (Joe) Bower of Craig, CO; Raylene (Brad) Hoffman of Green River; ReBecca Lintner of Grand Junction, CO; Margaret Louise Burns of Ft. Chaffee, AR; Steven (Rhonda) Lawson of Ft Smith, AR; Corlinna Lawson
Smith of Roosevelt; Cindy Jo (Tracy) Branscum of Muldrow, OK; David (RoHo) Whisenhunt of Spiro, OK; and many, many, great aunts and uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia LaDawn Gardner-Lawson great-grandparents, Roy and Cora Scott, Vera Gardner-Wakefield; grandparents, Calvin B Gardner, Linda Elain Mower-Murphy, Helen Louise Isaac; niece, Isabelle Marie Shaw.
God Speed Justy Bear, we will love and cherish all the memories you left
us with, until we meet again.

All flowers can be sent to the Roosevelt Baptist Church at 402 N Hillcrest Dr., Roosevelt, Utah 84066. The family asks that this not be a somber event. We are celebrating a life well lived, dress comfortably, Justin was a Cowboy at heart and couldn't stand a suit and tie affair.
