Judith Ambrosia “Ambie” Redfoot, age 63, of Whiterocks, passed away at her home on April 7, 2025.
Ambie was born September 24, 1961 in Roosevelt to Charles and Colleen Wash Redfoot.
Ambie worked in the administration for the Ute Indian Tribe for more than 30 years, mostly in the loan department. She enjoyed traveling, family trips, gambling in Wendover, taking pictures, playing volleyball when younger, doing beadwork, going to Peyote meetings, attending Sundances, and Pow Wows. She was on the Pow Wow committee for many years.
She was known for her sense of humor, and was always fun to be around. She liked being in charge – “taking names and kicking ass” – and made sure everyone was taken care. She was a chaser on bike rides.
Ambie is survived by her godson, Jace MountainLion; goddaughter, Sundae Pargeets; siblings, Nancy Redfoot; Lelanie Redfoot; Dixie Redfoot; Stefanie Redfoot (Ron Ailak); Fawn Redfoot (Anthony Vigil); Sione (Alicia) Kaufusi; Phillip (Kateari) Kaufusi; Delene (Lloyd) Miller; Gordon Howell; Henry (Dondi) Howell; Dan Howell; aunts, Ginny Chimburas, Irene C. Gardner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Leann Reed, Darren Redfoot, Cynthia Redfoot, Bell Redfoot, Duane Redfoot, Barry Reyos (“her hunk”); and her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Whiterocks Community Building. A wake will be held at her home from Wednesday at 3:00 PM until Friday morning.
Burial will be in the Red Knoll Cemetery.
