Jose Serafin Madrigal

Jose Maria Serafin Madrigal, age 49, of Roosevelt, loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away October 29, 2024, at his home.

 He was born on December 4, 1974, in Tocumbo, Michoacan, Mexico, to Jose Serafin Sandoval and Irma Madrigal Cervantes. He married Minerva Garza and they later separated.

 Jose worked at Ute Enterprises for over 16 years and the people he worked with became like family. He enjoyed listening to country music, watching wildlife, and being in the mountains. He really took the Ute Indian Tribe culture into his daily life and liked to help with and participate in Pow Wows and other traditional events. He was always willing to help those in need and will be deeply missed by his many friends and family.

 Jose is survived by his wife, Minerva; daughters, Bella Serafin and Arabella Garza; his mother, Irma Madrigal; his sisters, Nadia Serafin, Brenda Serafin (Ruben Hurtado); Amparo Serafin (Richard Ortega); nieces and nephews, Dania Maldanado Serafin, Angel Herrada, Jose Julian Herrera Serafin, Emily Hurtado Serafin, Dante Hurtado Serafin, Richard Ortega Serafin, Milton Serfani, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Sandoval.

 There will be a viewing on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary.

 Following the viewing and funeral, he will be transported to his hometown in Mexico for burial.
