JoLynn Stevenson Hill, age 57, of Altamont, died peacefully at the University of Utah Hospital on Friday, March 4, 2016 due to complications of pneumonia and the flu.
She was born November 6, 1958 in Roosevelt to James Dan and Francis Carol Lindsay Stevenson. She married Robin Hill on August 10, 1984.
JoLynn lived a life of service. She never met a stranger. She was a volunteer firefighter in her younger years and then became an EMT and CPR instructor. She loved running on the ambulance and did so for 25+ years. She recently retired after 34 years at Moon Lake Electric and was loving the time she had for her favorite hobbies. She had a passion for cutting horses and was enjoying the success she had made with them. She liked quilting, gardening, and spending time with family. JoLynn was an example to all and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Robin, sons, Brian (Karen) Hill, Upalco; Chad (JoAnn) Hill, Roosevelt; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren with 3 more on the way, her parents, Dan and Carol Stevenson, Boneta; sisters, Bunnie Stevenson, Scottsdale, AZ; Tammy (Craig) Kettle, Boneta; Dana (Rob) Stagg, Boneta.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Aaron & Virginia Stevenson and Robert and Mae Lindsay.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Fork LDS Chapel. Viewings will be held at the church on Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.
Burial in the Mountain Home-Boneta Cemetery, under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
