Johnny Lee Nye

Johnny Lee Nye, Sr., age 75, of Roosevelt, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2023, with his children by his side at the Uintah Basin Sr. Villa.
    He was born December 1, 1947, in Henrietta, OK, to Sinclair and Gladys Mizell Nye.  
    Johnny worked as a welder.  His greatest passion in life was playing music and the guitar with his siblings, family, and friends.  He also loved big rigs and tossing hay bales.  
    He is survived by his children, Joe Almany, Johnny Nye, Jr., Holly Sorensen, Joey Nye, a bonus son, Matthew; siblings Billy, Charles, Fred, & Debbie Nye; grandchildren, Ronnie Jr., Joey, Tein, Tayven, Khloe, Bostyn, Journi, Bash, Jennifer, & Danielle Woods, Ashley, Ryan, Bradley, Travis, & Kyle; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his children, Ronnie Sr., Carrie, & Leslie Nye; siblings, Henry, Lester, Sally “Sis,” Joe, Donna; parents; and many other loved ones. 
    Johnny will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  
    Per his wishes, he will be cremated.
