Joan Ann Allmon, age 70, of Roosevelt, passed away November 13, 2021 at Utah Valley Regional Hospital.
She was born May 11, 1951 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to Jeanette “Jiggs” Seaman “Alexander” and George Milton Seaman Sr. She met her husband Gary Allmon in 1978 and they “finally” got married in 2004.
Joan made beautiful crewel embroidery art and used this talent to make amazing gifts for her family members over the years. She loved to grow flowers and looked forward to the hummingbirds that would come every summer to her backyard. Joan also loved her cats, and you could always find her with a cat or two whether she was inside or outside. She was a shy and quiet woman who loved spending time with her family and friends. She also really loved being a grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Gary A. Allmon, Roosevelt; daughter, Tracie Carmichael, Las Cruces, NM; stepdaughter, Sarah Dolan, Ohio; grandchildren, Asher Carmichael (John) Longmont, Colorado; Nathan and Mia Dolan, Ohio; sister, Karen Preston, (Butch), Vernal; brother, Steve Seamen, Payson, Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Kenneth Tallmage, Philip Tallmage and George Seaman.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Hullinger Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00. Burial will follow services in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
