JEREMY NELSON
Jeremy Lynn Nelson, age 36, of Roosevelt, Utah, formerly of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away in Roosevelt on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
He was born August 1, 1979 to Gary Ronald Nelson and Christine Putnam Nelson in St. George, Utah. He married Jennifer Hancock, June 19, 2003 in the Bountiful Utah LDS Temple. They were later divorced; however, remained dedicated co-parents.
Jeremy grew up in southern Utah living in the community of Veyo. He graduated from Dixie High School where he participated in baseball, football and wrestling. In his junior high years, he was a drummer in band class and was a boxer. He was an artist and his favorite things to draw were comic book characters. He enjoyed making movies at a young age with his friends and attended cinematography classes at Dixie College. He served an LDS mission to the Nicaragua Managua Mission from 1998-2000. He helped the Nicaraguan people after the aftermath of Hurricane Mitch. He was part of an original rock band, Standby, he and his friends started in southern Utah which played venues in Las Vegas and California. He was successful in e-commerce and other promotional sales which led to his move to the West Palm Beach, Florida area. He graduated from Palm Beach Film School in 2006 with a degree in Filmmaking. After graduation, he began his successful business, Blue Shore Productions, as an international videographer producing professional movies of weddings and special events.
Jeremy loved people. He was a true friend. He was a natural born leader and people were drawn to him. He loved to be goofy and had a very special, kind and sincere spirit. He loved the outdoors, the mountains, especially, snowboarding, hunting, target shooting, camping and fishing. He loved the beach, snorkeling and spear-fishing.
Through his journey with addiction, his most meaningful times were when he could lift and help others.
He is survived by his two children, Cole (5) a son, and Nyah (2), a daughter. They were the joy of his life! Additionally, his parents, Gary & Christine; his siblings: Benjamin (Denise), Laurie Summers (Brandon), Bradley (Meagan), Jason (Janae), Tyler (Lindsey), and Paul. Grandparents: Ronald Wesley Nelson; Howard Hoggan & Mary Esther Staheli Putnam.
He was preceded in death by Martine Lou Harris Putnam, grandmother; Glenna Nelson Nelson, grandmother; Matthew Harris Putnam, uncle; Aubrey Page, niece; Glenn Ray Nelson, uncle.
A viewing will be held in Roosevelt, UT, Monday evening, April 4th from 6-8 pm at the Hullinger Mortuary - 457 East 300 North; also a viewing in St. George, UT on Tuesday evening, April 5th, from 6-8 pm at the Spilsbury Mortuary - 110 South Bluff St. The funeral will be held in Veyo, UT on Wednesday, April 6th, in the Veyo Ward LDS Chapel - 176 East Center St. at 11 am. A viewing will precede the funeral from 9:30-10:45 am.
Interment will be in the Veyo Cemetery.
