Jean Colleen Noble, age 73, of Roosevelt, passed away September 18, 2015, at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.
She was born February 2, 1942, in Ft. Duchesne, to Charlie Joe and Lorena Saknikent Noble.
Jean was an advocate of getting as much education as possible. She graduated from Union High School and went on to college and graduate school at BYU-Hawaii; BYU-Provo; Utah State University, University of Utah, earning a masters in education and just a few credits short of a second masters degree. She then worked as an educator for the Ute Tribe as the adult education director. She also worked as a Clinical Health Representative for the Indian Health Services. She really enjoyed traveling: to Wendover to gamble; to various Pow Wows and Handgame tournaments throughout the country. She was a member of the Native American Church. She loved being with her family.
Jean is survived by her children, Monica Noble, Redlands, CA; Joseph (Arlene) Noble, Roosevelt; grandchildren, Dalton North, Lee Gardner, Kelly Jo Noble, Arlysia & Mance Wyasket; Angelie Poleviyaoma; her life long sisters, Angela Shavanaux, Helen Wash, and Colleen Black and their families, and many other close friends and relatives
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Phyllis Heavyrunner, Nellie Mart, Charlene Poulson; and a brother, Kelly Noble.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 24th at 1:00 p.m. at the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
A wake will be held after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Whiterocks Community Building.
