JARID MITCHELL

Jarid Wade Mitchell, age 36, returned to his Heavenly Father September 11, 2016, in Bremerton, WA.
Jarid was born June 16, 1980, in Roosevelt to Glade Henry and Debra Fausett Mitchell. He was raised in the Uintah Basin and graduated from Union High School in May 1999.
Jarid joined the Naval Nuclear Submerged Program in January 2000. Jarid married his wife of 15 years Jessica Wiggill on April 22, 2001 in Saratoga Springs, New York while in Naval Nuclear Power Training School. The Navy moved Jarid and Jessica to Bremerton, WA where their two wonderful children, Jaridan James and Houston Nicholas, were born. Jarid worked as a Petty Officer First Class Machinist Mate on the USS Pennsylvania, an Ohio Class Ballistic Missile Submarine, for several years. At the time of his death Jarid was working at the Navy Sub Base Bangor in Bremerton for The Intermediate Maintenance Facility Pacific Northwest.
Jarid was slow to take offense. He was always willing to help and seldom complained about anything. Jarid laughed all the time even when life would throw curves at him. His infectious laughter will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
Jarid is survived by wife Jessica, children, Jaridan and Houston of Bremerton; parents, Glade and Debra of Ballard; brother, Ryan of Vernal; three sisters: Kiera Mitchell (Santos Torres) of Baytown, TX; Casey (Daniel) Moran of Rangely, CO; Lindsey (Allen) Martinez of Naples; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jarid was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ballard LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.
Burial in the Upalco Cemetery with military honors presented by the American Legion Post #53 and the US Navy Honor Guard.
