Jared Joseph Anderson, age 40, of Roosevelt, passed away February 27, 2017, in Ballard.
He was born January 12, 1977, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Ronald Wilhelm and Linda Sue Reisner Anderson. He married Lindsey Crozier on June 15, 1996, in Roosevelt, and were later sealed in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple on July 26, 1997.
Jared was a contractor and worked in construction for much of his life. He was also a teacher of construction at the Uintah Basin Applied Technology College and loved the students he worked with. He enjoyed fishing, being in the mountains, going on trips with his brothers, and was an avid extreme mountain biker – Moab’s red rocks being his favorite place.
He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various callings. He loved his girls – they were his life!
Jared is survived by his wife, Lindsey, daughters, Alexis Brooke, Katie Sierra, Reagan Paige, Emily Lynn, Jayde Elizabeth, & Kamryn Shae, all of Roosevelt; his parents, Ron & Linda Anderson, Myton; brothers and sisters, Sherri (Bryce) Anderson, West Jordan; Marc (Candice) Anderson, Hyrum; Eric (Heidi) Anderson, Henderson, CO; Adam (Sarah) Anderson, Sandy; Aaron (Ivonne) Anderson, Lehi; Mary (John) Brown, Greeley, CO; parents-in-law, Dan and Jodie Crozier, Ioka; grandparents, Dale & Dona Rae Nelson; Eva Deane Crozier; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin Floyd & Katie Elizabeth (Christiansen) Anderson and Talbert Henry & Verda Mary (Mercer) Reisner.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Roosevelt LDS Stake Center, 447 East Lagoon Street. There will be a viewing on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Roosevelt 1st and 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 32 South State Street, and on Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m. at the Stake Center.
Burial will be in the Neola Cemetery under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
