Ira Alden Cuch, age 51, of Whiterocks, passed away on March 6, 2023 at the University of Utah Hospital surrounded by his family.
Ira was born March 18, 1971 in Roosevelt, Utah to Charlie, Jr. and Betty Lee Atwine Cuch. He was named after Ira Hayes and was proud of carrying his name.
Ira was a jokester who knew how to help people feel better with laughter and was fun to be around. In his younger years he enjoyed riding motorcycles, rodeo and bull riding. He liked working on vehicles, traveling, and was a tattoo artist. He was a good teacher to those around him and was always encouraging others. He loved his Native culture, was a fancy dancer, Bear Dancer and was very traditional. In his later years he became a very private person. .
He is survived by his children, Nana Cuch, Myralee Cuch, his companion, Connie Wyasket, sister, Iris (Alden) Littlegeorge and 3 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Erwine Cuch, Evangeline TomaHawk, Darwin Cuch, Emiline Atwine, Charlene Cuch, Edmond Cuch, and Nellie Cuch.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Whiterocks Community Building. A wake will be held on Thursday after 3:00 p.m. at Alana Taveapont’s home in Richardson Subdivision in Ft. Duchesne.
Burial in the John Harmes Cemetery.
