Hebe Bourda Cairoli, age 90, of Roosevelt, passed away January 1, 2015, at the Uintah Basin Senior Villa.
She was born November 27, 1924, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Andres Bourda and Adela Barcelone. She met and married Augusto Cairoli and he passed away in 1970. She and her family moved to the United States in 1959 where Mr. Cairoli worked for the airlines and she worked as a personnel manager for the Marriott Corporation. Because of her French, Italian, and Argentinian heritage, she could speak five languages.
Hebe was loved by everyone who knew her, and she loved life. She was a sophisticated woman who was passionate about the arts and traveling the world. She enjoyed painting, knitting, and needlepoint. Her cooking skills were unrivaled, her rum cake being one of the best, and she even wrote a cookbook. She loved God and attended the Roosevelt Christian Assembly when she could.
Hebe is survived by her son, Dario “Dee” (Brenda) Cairoli; grandchildren, Jessica (Jim) Anderton, Jennifer (Joe) Quick, Jana (Aaron) Terry, Christopher (Magen) Cairoli, all of Roosevelt and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Augusto, and her son, Andres Cairoli.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Uintah Basin Senior Villa.
Her wishes were to be cremated and her remains scattered with her husbands. Condolences may be shared at www.hullingermortuary.com
