    Gayla Pinnecoose, age 60, of Randlett, passed away September 29, 2020, at her home.
    She was born June 30, 1960, in Roosevelt, to Guy Joseph Pinnecoose, Sr., and Esther Arrive.  
    Gayla (Tah-Voo) is a member of the Ute Indian Tribe. She attended Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California. Gayla was a member of the Native American Church.  She enjoyed attending and participating in Native cultural celebrations and spiritual events; Beardances, Powwows, and Sundances. She was an avid basketball fan!  She played basketball in her younger years, but loved watching the Los Angeles Lakers.  Her favorite hobbies were beading, cooking, and creating holiday arts & crafts.  Gayla enjoyed the 60', 70's, and 80's music, but most of all she loved traveling- especially to the casinos!
    Gayla loved spending time with family and friends. Grandma Gayla especially loved her dear grandchildren unconditionally. Her strong will and empathy for others helped her endure the challenges that hindered her life.
    She is survived by her son, Eddison Piapot, Ogden; four grandchildren; sisters, Claria “Cookie” Pinnecoose, Randlett; and Wendy Pinnecoose, Ft. Duchesne; a brother, Lornie (Gay Dawn) Pinnecoose, West Valley City; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  
    Gayla was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Guy Pinnecoose, Jr., Leroy Pinnecoose, Claudine Pinnecoose, Alvin Pinnecoose, Beverly Lonebear, Edwin Lonebear, Viola Pinnecoose, Joseph Pinnecoose, Lawrence Pinnecoose; nephews, Jonathan Blackhair & Sho Van Dam Pinnecoose.  
    Funeral services will be held at the Hullinger Mortuary on Monday, October 5, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
    Burial will be in the Randlett Cemetery.
