Frankie Jason Cornpeach, age 52, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away on August 27, 2023 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Frankie was born March 9, 1971 in Roosevelt, Utah to Albert and Flora Irene Cuch Cornpeach.
Frankie was proud of his native heritage and was very traditional. He participated as a Sundancer and loved to sing Sundance Songs with his dad. brothers and sons, he also sang with the Dark Canyon Singers. He also sang with the Cornpeach Boys and loved Punkrock music. His favorite place to be was anywhere outdoors, in the mountains, camping, hunting, fishing, or just in his yard working one of his hobbies. He was a wonderful artist and created numerous beautiful pieces of work. He had a fun personality, enjoyed teasing others and was very outgoing. He worked as a truck driver, firefighter, big game guid with the Ute Tribe Fish and Wildlife.
He is survived by his children, Arden (Melanie) Cornpeach, Jason (Daidre) Cornpeach, Seymone Gonzalez, Lisa Black, Estelle John, and grandchildren, Jimmy Dew, & Azaylea Cornpeach, Avis, Mazie, Honey, and Leela John, his siblings, Alex (Tahnee) Cornpeach, Richard Cornpeach, Russell Cornpeach, Anna Cornpeach, aunt, Ina Jane Nephi, niece, Kayleena Cornpeach.
He is preceded in death by his son, Shooting Star Cornpeach, step-son, Eric Welsh, Jr., grandson, EagleBear Cornpeach, his parents, and siblings, Alberta LaRose, Johanna Cuch, Julie Cornpeach, Daniel Cornpeach, Myleen Cornpeach and Jonathan Cuch.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Red Knoll Cemetery. A wake will be held after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Anna Cornpeach’s home (11400 North 3800 East) in Whiterocks.
