Harold Franklin Sursa, age 63, passed away September 23, 2017 at UBMC surrounded by family.
Frank was born March 24, 1954 to Jack Franklin and Dorothy Stroud Sursa, the first of three sons, in Borger, Texas. Frank grew up in Stinnett, Texas. Frank cowboyed in the Texas Panhandle for many years and Gruver, Texas, and then later moved to Roosevelt.
Frank loved his family very much. He loved to tease, if he was smiling you were smiling too.
He worked for Delsco and developed many close friends. Frank loved to watch baseball and was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a most particular house keeper, had a place for everything and everything in its place.
Frank liked to Rodeo in his younger years, riding bareback, and roping. He also had a love of horse racing and had owned a few over the years. His favorite and most dedicated past time in recent years was to have coffee with his friends at the Frontier Grill or Blue Jays Café.
He is survived by his son, James Franklin (Bridget) Sursa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Aiclynn Verona Sursa, Brody Jack Sursa; daughter, Jentri Christine Colledge, Sandy; grandson, Kanyon Colledge; son, Andy Labrum, Bluebell; granddaughter KyLynn Labrum; step-son, Jesse McDonald, Altamont; step-granddaughter, Taylor McDonald; brother, Heavy (Patsy) Sursa, sister-in-law, Shanna Sursa, and numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves behind countless friends whose lives he's touched.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Jack Franklin Sursa; mother, Dorothy Christine Sursa, and brother, Ronnie Sursa.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at the Roosevelt Christian Assembly, at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm. at the Hullinger Mortuary and from 10-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Burial will be a the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
