Floyd Eugene Caudell, age 77, was born on November 6, 1938 in Fort Duchesne, Utah to Josephine LaRose and Ellis Caudell. His grandparents were: Lila Whissler-Caudell and Thomas Caudell and Stella Chapoose-LaRose and Milton LaRose. Floyd was a Uintah Ute, and later enrolled with his father's tribe, Choctaw, in Oklahoma. He married Marilyn Swazey and later divorced.
Floyd passed away peacefully in his home on August 15, 2016. Floyd was a fan of NASCAR racing and loved to watch PBR bull riding and the Denver Broncos on television. In his youth, he was known to be quite a baseball player. Floyd spent a great deal of time outdoors with his beloved animals and took care of many cats, dogs and horses throughout his life. He enjoyed ranching and fixing things at his home on Whiterocks Road.
His late father Ellis, mother Josephine and sister Joan Caudell-Barlow preceded him in death. His sisters Lafern Vialpando, Mary Myers and brother Forrest S. Cuch, survive him. Many nieces and nephews and relatives also survive him.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Hullinger Mortuary from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. with a rosary to follow. He will then be cremated.
