Flora Idell Elder

    Flora Idell Tanner Elder, age 81, of Roosevelt, passed away January 6, 2017, at the Uintah Basin Sr. Villa.
    She was born May 2, 1935, in Myton, to Emery Alva and Rozetta Mae Brewer Tanner.  She married Duane Abram Elder in 1979.  
    Flora really enjoyed horseback riding and packing into the mountains with her husband, Duane, and camping with all of the grandchildren.  One of her hobbies was crocheting.
    She is survived by her children, Rex Rogers, Roosevelt; Jacqueline Stansfield, Blackfoot, ID; Julieann Rogers, Myton; Robert (Jo) Rogers, Patricia Williamsen, Katherina (Lynn) Christensen, all of Roosevelt; Valerie (Jim) Asher, and Natalie Elder, both of Vernal; 29 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Douglas (Janus) Tanner, Taylorsville; Darrell (Catherine) Tanner, Salt Lake City; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; son Ronald Rogers; parents; sisters, Oleta Petersen, Carol Tanner; granddaughter, Mandy Christensen, and a great-grandson, Kyle Rogers.
    The family would like to thank the staff at Uintah Basin Sr. Villa with  a special thanks to the workers of the memory care unit.
    Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at 12:00 noon at the Hullinger Mortuary with a viewing from 11-11:45 that morning.
    Burial will be at the Myton City Cemetery.
