    Eva Mae Hardinger Brandt, age 95, of Neola, passed away October 13, 2024 at the Sr. Villa.  
    Eva was born June 14, 1929 in Roosevelt to Henry Cleveland and Golda Pile Hardinger.  She married Eldrith Brandt on May 18, 1948 in Gusher, Utah.  They had three children.
    They had a great life together for many years, she helped Ed with the business, doing the books and driving her pickup behind the big truck when they delivered coal to homes and businesses.  She also helped cutting timber to take to the coal mines.  
    She was a great cook and made wonderful home made bread.  She was a hard worker.  While young she washed out dirty diapers for a nickle or dime and did a bag of washing for a quarter.  In those days that was good pay.
    Ed passed away April 6, 1980 at the age of 53, she struggled, but continued to work and raise her children.
    She always planted a big garden and did lots of canning.  She loved having her grandkids stay with her, they were great help with the gardening, mowing, and watering.  She loved to go fishing with her family, and had a talent in catching night crawlers.
    She is survived by her daughters, Carol (David) Powell, Larue (Gary) LuJan all of Neola; sister, Goldie Burton, Craig, Colarado; grandchildren,Tina Jeannie, Scott, MeLissa, Ronnie Becka, Michell, Eddy, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldrith Brandt, son, Edward Brandt and siblings, Harry James “Jim” Hardinger, Henry Tobias Hardinger, Ivan George Hardinger, Cleveland M. Hardinger, Harve Cleveland Hardingrt, Arthur Hardinger, Earl Pete Hardinger, Estella Rebecca Nielson, Betty Jean Giddley, Ted Hardinger, and Ray Thomas Hardinger.
    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Noela Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with a viewing beginning at 10:00.
    Burial will be in the Cedarview Cemetery.
