Eugene Dee Jenson, age 65, of Talmage, passed away suddenly September 16, 2022.
He was born November 19, 1956, in Roosevelt, to Calvin Joseph and Lorna Christensen Jenson. He married Mindy Lou Brotherson on November 17, 1984, in Boneta. They were later sealed in the Provo Temple.
Eugene was cattle rancher and was a hard worker. He ran his cattle in Pigeon Water near Rock Creek. He enjoyed horse pack trips to the High Uintahs, fishing with his siblings, and elk hunting when he was younger. He was very kind, would help neighbors whenever they needed, had many friends, and was well loved. He served many years as a Scout leader. His hobbies were leatherwork and saddle making, and he often said, “When I die, bury me with my rope, spurs, dehorner, and my saddle so if I go to Hell, I can dehorn the devil and ride him out of Hell.”
He was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mindy, of Talmage; his children, Charmayne Jenson, Roosevelt; Brett (Neiko) Jenson, Vernal; grandchildren, Kaycee, Kayden, & Kayla Mitchell; his siblings, Leola Jenson, Maxine Skinner, Dallas Jenson, and Vern Jenson, his mother-in-law, Lorna Brotherson; sisters-in-law, Vickie (Nolan) Larsen, Joan (Jeff) Goodrich, Amber (Joe) Gardner, Jennifer (Jeff) Zobell; his dog, Blunder/Midnight; his grandpuppies, Jones & Phoebe; and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kristen Mitchell; his parents, his brothers, Arnold, Leslie, and Reed; his Sisters Betty, Luella, Roberta & Beverly, his father-in-law, Martin Brotherson; and his favorite horse, Jesse.
