On Monday, October 11, 2021 Ernitta Joy Robbins, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 85.
Ernitta was born on August 31, 1936 in Duchesne, Utah to Earn and Gladys Odekirk. She was the youngest of 7 children and made herself known as a strong spirit with no time for grass to grow underfoot. On April 15, 1958 she married Ronald Robbins in Elko, Nevada and together they raised two children, Kirby and Ronda.
Ernitta had a passion for accomplishment and organization, moving mountains if they stood in her way. She was a natural born leader, an exuberant, fashionable, vibrant lady, with a whirlwind of energy. During she and Ron’s early years as times were tough she worked many hours at Cowan’s Café and then as a self-taught secretary and bookkeeper for the family business, Robbins Construction. With each undertaking she tackled, it was accomplished to the fullest of its extent, nothing less. She took pride in her home and her yard, her family and friends, and her greatest triumph was her children and grandchildren and the circle of joy that came with them.
Ernitta was preceded in death by her grandson Scott and son Kirby.
She is survived by her husband Ron, her daughter Ronda and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Duchesne Stake Center with a viewing from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Burial in the Duchesne City Cemetery.
