Elsie Meyer

Elsie Meyer was born April 10, 1948, in Roosevelt, Utah and passed to the next world on November 25, 2021, at the age of 73. She grew up in the Bridgeland area of the Uintah Basin and attended public schools there.
Elsie earned a cosmetology degree and worked for many years in Roosevelt, Utah as a beautician. In later years she managed the Roosevelt Bowling Alley. Elsie was actively involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting – many would say she was the Yarn Queen of the World. Elsie loved her extended family and spent many hours planning family reunions and provided emotional support to her numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed by many.
Elsie is survived by her brother-in-law, Senor F. Mortensen, her brother, Frank Meyer, Jr. and his wife Elaine, and her sister, Carolyn Mason and her husband Mike Mason. Elsie is also survived by a gaggle of nieces and numerous nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Letta Meyer, and siblings Shirley Mortensen, Wilma Kelley and her husband Larry Kelley, LaRean Hess and her husband Earl Hess, Sarah Cook and her husband George Cook, Leslie Meyer and Illa Meyer.
Services will be held at the Myton Ward Chapel on Saturday, December 4, 2021, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with time to greet Elsie’s family. The funeral will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.
Elsie will be interned in the Bridgeland Cemetery.
