   Elona Johannah Freeman Adderley Simonette, age 89, returned home to our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ on September 19, 2024. She suffered for many years with COPD. She passed peacefully at her daughter’s home surrounded by loved ones.
    Elona/GG loved her family very much. She loved doing any kind of activity with them. She especially loved doing crafts with her daughters and camping with her family.
    GG was very talented and could do anything you put in front of her – whether it be knitting, crocheting, tatting, painting pictures, puzzles, bingo, canning, fishing, etc. She was up for trying just about anything. GG really enjoyed watching game shows while doing her crafts.
    In her youth she loved to play baseball. When asked if she was any good at playing baseball she would respond with “oh yeah”. She enjoyed watching baseball games live or on the television. It was her favorite sport.
    Elona enjoyed going to her local Baptist church in Roosevelt. As she became older it was difficult for her to attend, but her heart was there with them. She loved being the oldest at their youth camp outs. She really enjoyed these outings and looked forward to them every year.
    She is survived by children, Dennis (Cathy) Adderley, Darrell (Michelle) Adderley, Connie (Nyle) Mecham, Bonnie (Steve) O’Brien, Ila (Alfonso) Padilla, Anna Simonette. Daughters from another mother – Lu (Ken) Edwards, Pat (Jim) Kemp, Cindy (Rick) Rupe, 31 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
    Preceded in death by parents, Roy & Gladys Freeman, husband, Duke/Henry Simonette, sons, Larry and Duane Adderley, and 4 grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt Baptist Church.  A viewing will be held that morning from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
    Burial will be in the Myton Cemetery.
