Elizabeth”Betty” Jane Keel passed away February 18, 2025 at the Landmark Care Center in Vernal.
She was born August 22, 1941 to William Edwin and Marie Francis Crawford Pitcher in San Bernardino, CA. She was the third of four children.
Her family moved to Utah when she was young. Betty met and married the love of her life Arnol Nile Keel the day after she turned 16 in 1957, until he passed on December 8, 2013. Together they had five children, Jackie, Randy, Shawn, Vickie and Greg.
She loved to sell Avon and made many friends selling door to door for many years. She was also a baker and made cakes for all occasions for many years, until she couldn't squeeze the frosting anymore. In her lifetime she also was a secretary, a waitress and a cook. After retirement her and Arnol were camp hosts at East Park and Uintah Campgrounds. They loved their time in the mountains.
Betty is survived by her children, Jackie and John of Neola, Randy and Virginia of Roosevelt, Shawn and Beverly of Bluebell, Vickie and Tony, and Greg and Sandy all from Roosevelt. 16 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, both parents, her siblings Joyce, Charlotte, and Dwight, and a great granddaughter Makayla Hardman.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Holly Morton and the entire crew at Rocky Mountain Landmark Assisted Living and Hospice Care for taking such great care of "Liz".
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary with a viewing beginning at 1:00
Burial will be in the Neola Cemetery.
