Edna M. Evans, age 98, of Altamont, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother returned home to her Heavenly Father on January 10, 2016 at the Uintah Basin Rehabilitation and Sr., Villa.
She was born to John Henry and Matilda Moosman, on November 6, 1917 in Whiterocks and was the last living child in their family of 11 children.
She married Woodard "Bud" Evans of Altamont on June 17, 1942. He died August 9, 2003.
She unselfishly cared for and met the needs of her children while many times going without herself. She taught them how to have happiness in life and to stay close to their church beliefs which continue on with her posterity. One great granddaughter served an LDS mission in Russia and two great grandsons are currently serving, one in the Dominican Republic and one in the North Carolina, Raleigh, Spanish speaking mission. Two more are preparing to go on missions this summer. Her two married great grandchildren were married in the Manti LDS Temple.
She blessed the lives of others by helping and serving. Some of her many talents were crocheting, quilting, sewing and cooking. Her passion in life were her flowers which added beauty to this world as she spent endless hours in her yard.
She is survived by her children, Glade (JoAnn) Evans, Brigham City; Dean (Lyn) Evans, Altamont; Connie (Larry) Earl, Logan; 12 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
The family wants to thank the many who expressed love, sympathy, and kindness, especially to all those who provided ambulance, hospital and nursing home care.
She was preceded in death by her husband and all of her siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Altamont LDS Stake Center. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Altamont Cemetery.
