Dorothy Sorensen Price, age 78, of Tabiona, passed away on November 27, 2023 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born January 15, 1945 in Heber City to Glendon D. and Alice Burgener Sorensen. After high school she attended Utah State University. She married Donald Larry Price on December 30, 1965 and was later solemnized in the Vernal Temple on December 12, 1998. Together they had four children Allyson, Terri, Randy and Amanda.
Dorothy loved her family more than anything and made everyone always feel special. She loved sewing and making quilts for all of her kids and grandkids and future grandkids. She loved playing card games and camping with her family, especially Moon Lake with all of her extended family for many, many years. She made hundreds of scrapbooks for everyone in her family. She kept them all up to date and was working on them up until she passed. She worked at the Duchesne County School District office and later the Secretary at Tabiona School for 40 years. She served in many callings and was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her husband Larry; her daughters, Allyson (Curtis) Muir of Heber City, Utah; Terri Price of Gilbert, Arizona; Amanda (Tyrell) Ballow of Levan, Utah; grandchildren, Staci (Matt) Houston, Casey (Riley) Muir, Kaila (Luis) Solano, Dylan (Makinley) Muir, Austin (Auttie) Wall, Cailee (Colby) Grant, Jaylee (Colten) Price, Madison Muir, Taigan Ballow, Tenleigh Ballow; great-grandchildren, Jax Houston, Rowan Solano, Lily Houston, Nash Grant, Ainsley Muir, Brooks Grant and two more waiting to make their appearance; her sister, Erma (Leo) Ames; her brother, Roy (Brenda) Sorensen; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Ronnie Price, Janet Giles, Doug (Judy) Price, Joyce (Doyle) Burt, Shauna (Brad) Peterson, and Shayne (Jackie) Wagstaff and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Price; her parents; her brothers, Virgil, Marvin (Marlene) Sorensen. Sister Belva (Keith) Rust; father-in-law, Donald Earl Price; mother-in-law, Enid Alice Wagstaff; brothers-in-law, Don Mayhew, Kipp Merkley and James Giles.
We love and miss you so much. We don't know how we'll ever go on without you. Our late night card games won't be the same. We can't wait until we see you again.
