Doris F. Bailey

Duchesne, Utah - Our loving mother, grandma and great-grandma, Doris Fitzwater Bailey, age 94, passed away May 27, 2016 in Roosevelt.

She was born November 13, 1921 in Duchesne, Utah to William Henry and Lucretia Buckelew Fitzwater. She was the 12th of 12 children.

Mom married the love of life, Troy B. Bailey on September 28, 1942, in Evanston, Wyoming. He died January 5, 1989, of a sudden heart attack. She never got over his passing.

When Mom was asked what were the best times of her life she would quickly respond, "When I was raising my kids". After her kids were raised, she loved working in her yard and was thrilled when she received awards from Duchesne City for "Yard Beautification" and "Best Christmas Decorations". She was an avid Utah Jazz fan and never missed watching their games. She loved spending time with our Dad going fishing, hunting, trapping, camping and cooking with family and friends. Every Christmas, for

as long as she was able, she loved making out Christmas cards and enclosing $2 bills for her grand and great-grandchildren. Mom loved attending all her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids school activities.

She was a great example of unconditional love which she showed to all her family and to all who knew her as a friend.

Doris is survived by sons, Blaine (Patricia) Bailey, Salt Lake City; Bill (Paula) Bailey; Bobby (Virginia) Bailey, both of Duchesne; Blake Bailey, Grand Junction, CO; daughters, Brenda (Glen) Karen; Beverly (Brad) Stocking, both of Duchesne; 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and 7 sisters, son Brent J. Bailey, grandson Warren Glen Karen and her husband of 46 years.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 4th, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Hullinger Mortuary, 457 East 300 North, Roosevelt, Utah, where a viewing will be held 10:00-10:45 A.M. prior to the service. Interment, Strawberry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Mom asked that you take your kids out for ice cream.
