Donna Carol Armstrong Sander, age 67, of Bluebell, returned to her Heavenly home on January 30, 2021 after a four-year battle with cancer.
Donna was born on November 21, 1953 in Homewood, Chicago, Illinois. As a teenager Donna traveled to Russia and Germany as the soloist for her high school choir. After graduating Donna drove Standardbred trotters at the racetracks. From there she had a job training German Shepherds for the police department and then began showing Afghan Hounds and Russian Wolf Hounds. She supported herself through accounting and bookkeeping.
On October 26, 2001 Donna married the love of her life Bernard Gene Sander in Traverse City Michigan. They decided to get married in October because they both loved Halloween. Many people remember the Halloween extravaganzas they would put on. In 2005 they made Bluebell, Utah their home. Donna connected with every kind of animal including her miniature horses, dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and many more. She found great joy in finding new recipes to cook. She loved to garden both outside and with the beautiful plants in her home.
Donna is survived by her husband Bernard Gene Sander, Bluebell, UT; Kristy Armstrong, Rhode Island.
Donna was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother.
