Dianna Lyn Addley Spalding, age 70, of Altamont, passed away November 4, 2017, at the University of Utah Hospital.
She was born December 13, 1946, in Heber City, to Elmer Darr and Ruth Alice Pulley Addley. She grew up in Duchesne, spending much of her time in the mountains in sheep camps. She graduated in 1964 from Duchesne High School.
She married Frederick Amtoft Spalding on September 13, 1969, in Las Vegas. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and he died August 30, 2005.
Dianna worked as a bookkeeper for many years, and was an artist, a cook, a genealogist, did needlepoint, and was a 4-H sewing club leader. She loved to read and learn new things, and was an example of learning and growth. She was blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she had served as Relief Society President. She was thankful for the teachings and lessons she learned from her parents and always put the needs of others before her own.
Dianna is survived by her children, Wynnde Lee (Brent) Whittier, Lewiston, UT; Forrest Amtoft (Liz) Spalding, West Jordan; 12 grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Sharon) Addley, Bridgeland; and a sister, Mary Wilkerson, Blanchard, ID.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; a daughter, Christene Macklin; and a sister, Naomi Fisher.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the Strawberry Cemetery. There will be a viewing that morning at the Hullinger Mortuary from 9:00-10:15 a.m.
