Delphina Joan Cuch Glasco, age 69, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away September 22, 2023, at a hospice facility in Glendale, Arizona.
She was born July 31, 1954, in Ft. Duchesne, Utah, to Curtis Cuch and Geraldine Bush. She married Clarence Glasco in 1996, and he died in 2001.
Delphina had worked as a manager at a botanical gardens. She was a woman of great strength who had a good sense of humor, even during times a much pain. In her early years she enjoyed riding horses and was crowned Ute Indian Tribe Rodeo Queen. She had moved to the Phoenix area over 40 years ago and loved living in the city. She kept her traditional ways and beliefs, and took part in Bear Dances when she was younger.
Delphina is survived by her children, Cicely Caldwell, Phoenix; Tiarence “Tia” (Pierre) Banda, Tyson Glasco, Clarence Glasco, all of Buckeye, Arizona; 9 grandchildren; siblings, SueAnn Cotonuts, Gwen Cuch, Bill Cuch, Kim Cuch; aunt, Ina Jane Nephi; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Alpha Koryor & Tod Scrugs; parents, Curtis and Geraldine; siblings, Blaine, Kelly, Aaron, Sterling, & Stanley Cuch, Dorene Colorow, and Patty Cuch.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Whiterocks. There will be a wake on Tuesday after 3:00 p.m. at her sister's, SueAnn Cotonuts, home. Following the funeral and before the burial, there will be a luncheon and final viewing at the Whiterocks Community Building.
Burial will be in the John Harmes Cemetery.
