Delance Allred, age 82, of Neola, died unexpectedly on June 28, 2022, at his home.
He was born April 9, 1940, in Bluebell, to Claude Hillary and Mabel Anderson Allred. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii.
He married Kay Bastian on March 10, 1967 in Neola. She died November 23, 2018.
Delance grew up in Bluebell. He and Kay lived in Rangely, CO and moved to Neola in 1972, he worked in the oilfield for over 40 years as a mechanic until his retirement with Dominion Oil and Gas Company. He could fix anything and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding ATVs, vegetable gardening, and just being in the outdoors.
He is survived by his two daughters, Carla Allred, Sunset, Utah; Cathy (Aaron) Gorman, Monahans, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay; all of his siblings, Florence Powell; Richard Allred, Bert Allred, Doug Allred, Rex Allred, Andy Allred, Doris Guice, and Max Allred.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Neola Cemetery. Military Honors will be presented.
