Dean Richards

    “Cowboys don’t take baths, they just dust off”

    Dean “Butch” Richards, age 56, of Roosevelt, passed away April 13, 2015, at his home.  
    He was born September 8, 1958, in Roosevelt, to Billy Lyle and Della Yvonne Burton Richards.
     Dean loved horses and a good dog.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping, and breaking horses.  He worked in the oil field, as a ranch hand, and a construction worker.  He drove truck for the last few years.  He really loved taking his grandkids fishing.  
    Dean is survived by his children, Tessie Ostler, American Fork; Jeremy (Holly) Thomas, Salt Lake City; Kattie (Cody) Smith, Lapoint; Moneesh (Steven) Loftis, Roosevelt; Sandy (Chris) Taylor, Myton; Charity Rasmussen, Ft. Duchesne; Leah Olsen, Roosevelt; a special nephew, Justin “JR” (Rudee) Richards, Roosevelt; 26 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ella Larson, Bridgeland; Maxine Lazenby, Arizona; Becky (Terry) Johnston, Canada; and Billy Richards, Vernal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Glen Richards, grandson, Dustin Jaeger, Jr.
    Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt Memorial Park.  There will be a viewing at the Hullinger Mortuary on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m.
