Dawna Faye Hawkins Wall, age 57, of Lapoint, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Dawna was born April 23, 1959 in Roosevelt to Luke and Ruth Adams Hawkins. She married the love of her life, Steven Kay Wall, Sr. on October 25, 1997 in Neola. They began a beautiful life together, building an enormous loving family and embarked on may adventures.
She devoted her life to the service of others, working as a RN, spending her days comforting patients on dialysis and her knowledge of nephrology was immense. Her interest in dialysis started when her mother Ruth started getting treatment and Dawna was her care giver for many years. She was the nurse manager at the dialyses center and was known for her listening ear, genuine sincerity and love of others. She ran a tight ship, leading by example and expecting the best from everyone.
Dawna lived for her family, they were her everything! Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She liked traveling, doing photography, gardening, riding horses, and scrapbooking.
Her family would like to thank our angels, Cheryl Hastings, Malanie Karmazian, Karen Dalpais, Shirley Domgaard and Melissa Long for all they have done and continue to do for Dawna and our family.
She is survived by her soul mate and husband, Steven Wall, Lapoint; children, Travis (Kimmie) Wall, Ioka; Jarvis (Chanelle) Wall, Neola; Brian (Stacie) Bryson, Vernal; Brandie Demille, Roosevelt; Tyler Bryson (Stephanie Woody) Portland OR; Steven Wall, Jr., Williston, ND; Gilbert (Trish) Wall, Neola; 15 grandchildren, sister, Lana Anderton, Roosevelt; special uncle and aunt, Richard & Till Adams, Roosevelt; and her soul sisters who have been her friends for over 30 years.
