David “Paul” Reinhardt, age 83, of Duchesne, Utah, born December 6, 1941, in Bloomfield, New Mexico, to August Frank and Eva Reid Reinhardt, he was the sixth of seven children, passed away on his 83rd birthday, December 6, 2024, in Roosevelt, Utah, surrounded by his family.
Paul had a love for sports from a young age, especially baseball and football, and was a talented pitcher. He graduated from Durango High School, where he excelled in both sports. After his father passed away when he was 14, Paul gained a strong work ethic from his older brothers. This is where he began learning to drive trucks, eventually buying his own truck and starting a business.
Paul met his wife of 61 years, Marlene Thompson, in Duchesne, Utah, where he had come to drive trucks with his brother Carl. They were married on December 14, 1963, and later sealed on February 19, 2005, in the Vernal Utah Temple.
Paul was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After he retired, he served a mission with Marlene in Raleigh, North Carolina, and served as branch president of the Fruitland branch, along with other callings. He loved his time serving in the Vernal Utah Temple.
Paul is survived by his wife, Marlene Reinhardt; his children, Paul Reinhardt Jr. (Kristin), Michael Reinhardt (Jodi), Tony Reinhardt, Angela Butler (Adam), and Brady Reinhardt (Jasmine), all of Duchesne Utah; his sister, Betty (Bill) Wilkinson; 23 grandchildren and their spouses; and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Louise, Gilbert, Eva Marie, Carl, and Lavern.
