David James Jensen, age 34, of Roosevelt, passed away November 23, 2016, at his home.
He was born September 29, 1982, in Brigham City, to Melvin and Linda Salisbury Jensen.
He grew up in Roy, Utah, and graduated from Washington High School in 2001. He then attended Odgen ATC and graduated with a certificate in Welding.
He met the love of his life, Lindsay Springer through her brother Zach. They were married on July 15, 2009, in Duchesne.
David worked as a welder in oil field construction. For the last few years he delivered the Uintah Basin Standard with his wife Lindsay, where he was able to visit with many customers. He enjoyed getting to know everyone along the route. He was learning to play the bass guitar and started a band with his friends. He looked forward to jamming with the guys every Sunday. He would light up as he played. His hobbies included mudding, rock crawling, camping, fishing, hiking, and being a backyard mechanic. He loved his family which consisted of his wife and their dogs, Maddy and Trip.
He had a great sense of humor which he used to encourage and lift Lindsay’s spirits as she was battling breast cancer, which she overcame a year ago. He was kind, helpful, generous, funny, and had a contagious smile that will be missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by his wife, Lindsay; parents, Linda & Melvin Jensen, Roy; parents-in-law, Mark & Teri Springer, Roosevelt; brothers, Daniel (Rebecca) Jensen, Orem; Matthew Jensen, Benjamin Jensen, and a sister, Sarah Kay, all of Riverdale; grandparents, Carol & Richard Jensen, Brigham City; Charles and Mary Springer, Roosevelt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Elmore and Mary Salisbury.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, December 3, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary. Cremation will follow.
