Darrell M. Fackrell, age 79, of Gusher, passed away December 22, 2022, at his home.
He was born June 7, 1943, in Mountain View, Wyoming, to David and Ruby Atwood Fackrell. He married LaMae Nerdin on February 6, 1961, in Evanston, Wyoming. She died July 13, 2009.
Darrell worked for many years as a mechanic at Hill Air Force Base as a civilian and then after retirement as a truck driver. He had a great love of animals and had several dogs, horses, and llamas on his little farm. He really enjoyed imparting his wisdom, especially about mechanics. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren, and would talk your ear off.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Darrell is survived by his children, Vicky (James) Miller, Morgan, Ut; Merrill (Bridgett) Fackrell, Jr., Ogden, UT; Connie Lee (Wade) Hall, Vernal; Kristina (Lucas) Carver, Morgan; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, and dogs, “Mickey” & “Minnie.”
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaMae; son, Alonzo; granddaughter, Amy Eastman; parents; and brothers, Howard, Lloyd “Sonny,” & Cecil.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ballard Ward Chapel where a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
