Coralie Jane Henrie

Coralie Jane Maxfield Henrie, age 79, of Neola, passed away August 21, 2018, at her home.  She was born January 9, 1939, in Altonah, to Linford Arthur and Mable Powell Maxfield, the fifth of six children.
She attended Altamont Elementary and graduated from Altamont High School.  She married Gerald Farris Henrie on April 12, 1957, in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  They have been married for 61 years. 
Coralie went to cosmetology school in Salt Lake City from 1957-1959, and then did hair for many years.  Her most important job, however, was being a wife and mother. She loved being around the family, especially the grand, and great-grandchildren.  She also had many lifetime friends whom she loved to keep in contact with.
She was an active member of the Church and served in various callings including the president of the Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women’s organizations.  She was also in the Cub Scouting program for many years.  She loved going visiting teaching, singing in the ward choir, and leading the music.  Coralie and Gerald served two temple missions, one in Seoul Korea, and one in Manila, Phillipines.  Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, reading, and doing puzzles.
Coralie is survived by her husband, Gerald, of Neola; children Deborah (Ron) Belnap, Vale, Oregon; Doran (Nancy) Henrie, Layton; Bryan (Reneé) Henrie, Aledo, Texas; Wendell (Annie) Henrie; Warren (Mary) Henrie, both of Lehi; Brenda Hansen, Logan; Kyle Henrie, South Jordan; 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, DeLor (Jean) Maxfield, Bountiful; Norman (Sherline) Maxfield, Tucson, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Linford and Mable; siblings, Nada Murray, Donna Bird, and Ola DeVon Bird.
A special thanks to our father who cared so diligently for our mother through his own trials, in her final days.  We appreciate her loving neighbors, ward family, and family members who watched over and cared for her so lovingly.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neola Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  There will be a viewing prior to the services at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Altonah Cemetery.
