Cora Lee Sanchez, age 61, of Duchesne, passed away suddenly December 7, 2021, at her home.
She was born in Salt Lake City on July 22, 1960, as the middle child of Roy and Lou Ann Larson. Cora Lee grew up in Tooele, Utah, and graduated from Tooele High School, Class of 1978.
Cora Lee met her husband Mark Sanchez while she was visiting family in Duchesne. They were married on August 9, 1980. They made Duchesne their home along with their two children, Jacob Cole and Markee Lee. Cora Lee's family was her life. It didn't matter what it was, you could always count on her. She loved them with her whole heart. They were her everything.
Cora Lee was a hard worker, she was loyal and she did her best to please everyone. She started her career in title and property with Basin Land and Title in 1982. She worked for them until 1992, at which time she moved into the Recorder's Office for Duchesne County. She has become a staple at Duchesne County for the past 30+ years, where she was currently working in the Planning and Zoning Department and acting as the County's Oil and Gas Liaison. She was very knowledgeable at her job and immersed herself into it with a passion that was to be admired.
Cora Lee is survived by her husband, Mark; son, Jake (Tonya) Sanchez, Saratoga Springs, Utah; daughter, Markee (Devin) Bodily, Henderson, Nevada; grandchildren, ShayLyn (Luke) Hopkins, Cody Sanchez, Tyzeke Bodily, Kael Bodily and Kenzie Bodily; mother, LouAnn Larson; siblings, David (Leslie) Larson and Patti (Roy) Sandoval.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Larson and her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Duchesne Stake Center. Viewings will be held at the church on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Memorial Lakeview Cemetery in Bountiful at 3:00 p.m.
