Connie Griffin

Connie Griffin, age 57, of Roosevelt, Utah, passed away December 16, 2023, at home after a short illness. 
    She was born August 27, 1966 in Craig, Colorado to Irvin K. Hadden and Virginia Elenor Mathisen. Her family later moved to the Uintah Basin, where she met and married Ken Farnsworth. Together they had five children; Melinda, Melissa, Jana, Justin and Natalie. They later divorced. She met Chris Griffin in 1999 and they married in 2004 in Roosevelt, Utah. 
    Connie had a huge heart, loved fiercely and deeply. She was quick to lend a hand and was always smiling or laughing. Connie was a friend to all and was not afraid to walk up and start a conversation with anyone. She had a special place in her heart for animals. She would often take in stray dogs and cats and nurture and love them. Connie was a hard worker and took pride in any job she held.
            She is survived by her husband, Chris, of Roosevelt; children: Melinda (Shane) Rich, Ballard, UT; Melissa (Cesar) Onton, Roosevelt; Jana (Ed) Evans, Gusher, UT; Justin (Caitlin) Farnsworth, Garrison, UT; Natalie (Cody) Muir, Vernal, UT; 15 grandchildren; mother:Virginia Hall, Vernal, UT; father-in-law, Wayne Griffin, Roosevelt; brothers: Neal (Rachel) Hadden, San Antonio, TX; Tom (Laura) Hadden, Vernal; brothers-in-law: Doug (Stacy) Griffin, Denton, TX; Shane Griffin, Roosevelt;  sister-in-law: Deborah (Mel) Guthrie, Swan Quarter, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  
    Connie was preceded in death by her father, Irvin; and her mother-in-law, Betty Griffin.   
    Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary.  There will be a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
    Burial will be in the Utahn Cemetery.
